The Cascais Nature Tour is a 4-hour exploration of the region’s most remarkable natural viewpoints, the ideal winter experience, enjoyable even with a touch of rain. It’s a journey through mountains, cliffs, beaches, and stories that reveal the true soul of Cascais and Sintra.

We’ll meet wherever is most convenient for you, and from there head into the highlands of the Peninha Sanctuary, where sweeping views stretch from Lisbon to Ericeira. Here, the contrast between Sintra’s misty northern slopes and its sunnier southern face reveals the unique climate of the mountain range.

From the heights, we travel to the dramatic cliffs of Azenhas do Mar, a village balanced above the Atlantic, before descending to Praia da Adraga, one of Sintra’s most iconic beaches, shaped by powerful geological forces.

Next, we stand at the very edge of Europe at Cabo da Roca, feeling the raw strength of the Atlantic from 140 metres above the sea. Continuing along the coast, we pass the rugged cliffs near Abano Fort and the shifting landscape of the Cresmina Dune, a protected ecosystem where the wind and native plants constantly reshape the sand.

The tour then leads to the exposed shoreline of Cabo Raso, a place where tides and rock formations create an ever-changing scene, followed by a scenic pause at a viewpoint overlooking Quinta da Marinha.

We conclude at the iconic Boca do Inferno, where the ocean carves deep into the limestone cliffs, creating one of Cascais’ most dramatic natural landmarks.
