Sintra Rock Climbing

Real lead climbing on the compact orange granite of Pedra Amarela — go beyond top rope

Sintra Rock Climbing

Climb the compact orange granite of Pedra Amarela, a quiet crag on the southern slope of the Sintra hills. A short 20-minute walk through the forest gets you to the rock, slab and vertical faces rising up to 20 meters, shaded by trees, with routes ranging from an easy first climb to a real lead climbing challenge. All gear is provided, harness, helmet, ropes, everything, you just show up ready to climb. Private experience only.

The Sintra Rock Climbing Route

We start by getting a feel for you and the group, first time on rock or looking to push further, and choose routes to match. Between climbs, there’s time to rest and take in the forest around you. We close with your final route of the day, your call, easy finish or one last push. You’ll leave with sore forearms and a real sense of having climbed, not just watched.

Difficulty & Who It's For

No previous experience needed, we guide you through every step. Already climbed before? Pedra Amarela has the range for that too, routes from III to 6b (French system), easy climbs to real lead climbing challenges. This experience is perfect both for first-timers and climbers looking to step it up, safely guided, on one of Sintra’s hidden forest crags.
